What this site knows about you: almost nothing.

Cyber Bushies teaches people to look after their digital selves, so this page says plainly what this website does with yours. It's short because there isn't much to say. Last updated 16 September 2026.

Who we are. Cyber Bushies is run by Brian Colyer, a sole trader in South West Queensland. Questions about this page or your information go to info@cyberbushies.com. A person reads it and answers it.

What we collect. Nothing, unless you write to us. This site has no forms, no accounts and no sign-ups. If you email us, we have what you sent — your address and your message — and we keep it as long as we're talking, and after that only as long as there's a reason to remember what was said. Ask and we'll delete it, unless there's a legal or tax reason we have to keep it, in which case we'll tell you.

Cookies and tracking. None. This site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or social-media trackers. The links to LinkedIn, Facebook and X are plain links; nothing from those companies runs here unless you click through.

Visitor counts. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people read what. Cloudflare says it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage" and doesn't "fingerprint individuals via their IP address, User Agent string, or any other data" for it. We see totals, not people. Your browser may also send Cloudflare a standard error report if a page fails to load.

Where it lives. Email is handled by Proton, a Swiss company. Hosting and analytics are Cloudflare, whose servers are around the world including Australia. That's the whole list.

Sessions and events. When Cyber Bushies runs a session in your town we might keep a sign-in sheet so we can tell you about the next one, and we only take photos of people who've said yes. You can be at a session and be in neither.

The law, honestly. Australia's Privacy Act mostly binds businesses turning over more than $3 million a year. We don't. It also covers some smaller businesses regardless of size — health services, businesses that trade in personal information, credit reporters, government contractors — and we're none of those. So it doesn't bind us. We've written this page anyway, because the whole point of Cyber Bushies is that your data is yours. If we ever start collecting more than this, this page changes first.

Complaints. Tell us first and we'll fix it. If you're not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
